About the Conclave

The 3rd Edition of the India–Africa Business Conclave, organised by the Global India Business Forum (GIBF), was a grand celebration of diplomacy, business collaboration, and cultural bonding. The two-day event united Ambassadors, Diplomats, Business Leaders, Industry Experts, Entrepreneurs, and Government Officials from India and more than 20 African nations.

The Conclave served as a high-impact platform to promote trade, investment, knowledge exchange, and long-term partnerships between India and Africa.

Traditional Inaugural Ceremony

The Conclave began with a Maharashtrian Miraunuk procession, filled with the rhythmic beats of dhol–tashe and the vibrant presence of women dressed in traditional Navvari sarees. The venue was adorned with the flags of all African countries, a gesture of respect and unity. High Commissioner, Ambassadors & Diplomats from African nations walked alongside Indian delegates, reflecting a spirit of collaboration and mutual trust from the very beginning.

Felicitation Ceremony

In a gesture of honor and gratitude, Dr. Jitendra Joshi (Founder & Global President, GIBF) and Mrs. Deepali Gadkari (Secretary General, GIBF) felicitated all High Commissioners, Ambassadors, Diplomats, and Sponsors for their valuable participation and contribution to strengthening India–Africa relations.

Country Presentations

Delegations from Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Algeria, Egypt, Niger, Tunisia, Angola, Cameroon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ghana, Nigeria, and others presented:

  • Investment opportunities in agriculture, infrastructure, energy, technology, and manufacturing
  • Trade policies and incentives for Indian investors
  • Potential for bilateral partnerships and joint ventures

These sessions provided Indian businesses with deep insights into Africa’s growth potential and emerging opportunities.

Panel Discussions

Eminent speakers and panelists from India and Africa shared their views on:

  • Building a stronger India–Africa trade ecosystem
  • Collaboration in renewable energy, healthcare, IT, education, Automobile and start-ups
  • Encouraging technology transfer, innovation, and joint ventures
  • Designing sustainable and inclusive business models

The panels emphasized the shared vision of India and Africa for long-term prosperity and cooperation.

Exhibition Visit

The Conclave featured an Exhibition Zone where African and Indian companies showcased their products, services, and investment opportunities. The Booth Opening ceremony provided delegates with the first opportunity to explore exhibits and interact directly with business leaders.

Industry Visit

Delegates participated in curated Industry Visits to prominent Indian companies across sectors, including IFB Appliances, Haier Appliances, Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel, and Bajaj Electricals. These visits offered insights into manufacturing excellence, innovation, and scalable business models relevant for African markets.

Cultural Evening & VIP Dinner

The evening featured a vibrant cultural program followed by a VIP Gala Dinner. All High Commissioners, Ambassadors, Diplomats, Sponsors, African decision-makers, and Indian delegates enjoyed an atmosphere of music, dance, and cultural exchange, blending celebration with strategic networking. This unique evening highlighted the friendship and unity of India and Africa beyond business.

We were privileged to host the distinguished presence of H.E. Jeannot Cannot la Rose, Minister of Education, Democratic Republic of Congo, along with his team, and Ms. Neelam Gorhe, Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. Their participation added immense value to the Conclave, contributing insights and expertise that further advanced India–Africa collaboration in education, governance, and international partnerships.

The event also featured the participation of Abhishek Joshi, Global Director of GIBF and CEO & Director of Abhi Group of Companies, whose contribution played a key role in the success of the Conclave.
